There are people (and the term is used loosely) living in the church.

I don't understand why, when there are several apartment buildings available, they have chosen to do so.

I am requesting that they leave immediately so I might set the church to its proper use--the house of God. It is a public building, there are several places more suitable

They shouldn't live in a church! It can't be very comfortable, or safe for that matter. Does this city just not have enough housing? Do people without houses have to live in the church? Man, I don't really want to live in a public building, but if that's what you gotta do here...

The city has plenty of housing, there are at least three apartment buildings with open rooms.

I see at least a few here have kept some semblance of common sense.
