This is random, and it may seem like a hella weird request, but how do you spell "The Beloved?" in Hebrew? "Beloved" as a noun, and in the context of a father to a son. I believe it's pronounced ahuvi, but correct me if I'm wrong.

Ha/He-ahuv (the beloved), you simply add a ה - so האהוב.

As for yedid, I have seen it in siddurim as Beloved (e.g., ידיד נפש, Beloved of my soul), but personally, I would use the word אהוב as the root אהב means to love.
