yeah although i enjoyed this i really dont have the inclination to read any thing else of Hornby's. i only read this to compare it to the movie.

I definitely agree with you. Like I said, it took a lot of self-motivation to actually finish it. Normally I can get through 100 pages a day with no problem whatsoever, which is quite a bit for me seeing as how I don't have a lot of time through the day, but that book was brutal for me to get through. I had other work of his on my list but promptly replaced it.

yeah i just have to get through 50 pages in the first day otherwise i feel like i havent started a book.
i've looked at his other novels but really havent felt compelled to actually purchase them

I don't think I will ever touch another Hornby novel again. Incredibly dull stuff.

However, Haunted by Palahniuk has left that 'feeling' with me all day. You know, the feeling you get when you've found something truly amazing and wonderful, a book that leaves you wondering how someone could be so damn talented.
