...on Diamond Lake. We regularly see at least one pair of eagles in the neighborhood, plus an immature eagle, and a passle (I'm pretty sure that's the correct term) of Cooper's hawks

It is. I forgot to add hepatica and bloodroot to the list. And the scilla are full of honeybees (well, there are at least 5 of them). I wonder where they live?

Scilla everywhere, and no Charybdis to be seen.
