possible WisCon panel: New goddesses wanted

This is the last week for submitting program ideas for WisCon 38 (May, 2014). Any of these ideas tickle your fancy? give you ideas? hold any interest at all?

Two thoughts on this one...

One is that the modern Pagan community has been toying with this idea here and there. I know that every so often books will come up that attempt to create a new pantheon that's relevant and immediate to modern day polytheists. The last one I'd seen (and I don't remember the name of the book, sadly), was cutting the deities from whole cloth, instead of repurposing deities from existing or ancient pantheons.

Secondly, have you met Kim Long-Ewing & her daughter Rhea Ewing? For several years, they've run an online webcomic called Urban Fey, which is about the struggles of the eponymous Urban Fey to gain acceptance in the courts of the older faerie pantheons. Local to Madison, and Wiscon regulars to boot!

If part of the session involved actually working on what a new goddess might be goddess of, that could be nifty. Maybe ask everyone to bring an idea with them?
