You know, I read a lot of detective fiction, and science fiction & fantasy, and the only book on your list I even think I've read is the Ian Rankin! I suppose it's a function of just how much their is out there - but your list has given me some ideas.
Yes, there's a ton of stuff to read! These lists always make me happy that so many people are reading so many things, so the publishing industry is Not Dead Yet. (Also, look here are some books that someone else liked...)
Lots of these are pretty recent, thanks to my local library system. It lists all the books added to the system recently, and it's free to place a hold on any book once it's in the system. Also, my city library lets me have up to 75 holds at once.
No worries. It's awaiting you very patiently I'm sure. (It's kind of a fun book, too. You get to see a bit of what went into making the film, and it's still a good film)
I missed plenty of these just because the Beloit Library hasn't had them available when I was looking for books. A good list to be working from this year.
The monthly Don't Miss Lists are my friend. (How many holds does your card allow? The library will keep a hold for 7 calendar days IIRC.) I browse these lists the way I used to use the "new" shelves in the physical locations.
Your local equivalent is sorted by specific library, but it too lets you check out recent acquisitions by topic.
Aside from the few I ticked (I don't read much in the way of graphic novels or mysteries, I have read some of Princeless, because two six-year-olds of my acquaintance adore it.
