Gosh, I haven't listened to the Chart Show in about twenty years. *turns it up a bit*

Being middle classed and middle aged we got the Happy News via Radio 4. It still had me leaping round the kitchen going *YES*. Easily pleased, me.

I was listening over the Internet rather than on an actual radio... and giggling no end at the BBC's site struggling in places ;)

I couldn't work out why Steve was so anxious to put the top 30 on teletext at 18:58 today. Then I remembered it was the last Sunday before Christmas. I imagine Simon Cowell will demand a recount. Ooh, it's like Rod Stewart and the Sex Pistols all over again...

With a lead of something like 52k I think a recount would be futile ;)

Is Teletext still going? I thought they'd turned it off now...

It was the BBC one which is probably called something else. ITV has gone, except for ads. But thank goodness we get a break from X Factor pap this year. I have to confess - I did buy the Susan Boyle CD, but it was a present for my dad and he asked for it especially. I got it in Sainsburys so it could be discretely slipped out under a cauliflower or similar. I'm blushing as I write this.

Ceefax is the BBC one (although who knows for how much longer)

I give anyone a pass for items bought for older relatives who specifically requested them... I say this as someone who bought a couple of boxed sets of Midsomer Murders for my mum.

I should have had faith. I backed RATM to win earlier in the week, but decided it was unlikely, so I sold out a few days ago. The odds had shortened, so I still made a modest profit anyway, but if I'd stuck with RATM, I'd have made a lot more. Ho hum.
