a few days is a long time and so is a few weeks, which turn into a few months and a few years. i created this on february 29, 2004 when i was 13. now i'm 17 and this isn't really a big deal to me, i just feel like doing this obligation. i mean, what is there to say? i was 13, then i was 14, 15, 16, etc. i am not well prepared for a retrospective. I read it (livejournal, present tense), and read it (your entry, past tense). . . Think about it as writing your thoughts for yourself so that you can look back and see how little or how much has changed since you were 13, 14, etc. You said that it's "still hard for me to post an entry on my livejournal without sounding like i'm jerking off my ego," who cares? If you consider it writing for yourself instead of everyone else, it doesn't matter what you write or how you write it or what anyone else says or thinks about what you write/wrote. I think you already figured that out by the end of the entry though. Yeah, and there isn't much difference between blogspot and lj. . . and since you hate google so much, stick to lj.

when you learn how to be a pretentious, glorified art school dweeb with a gazillion dollar education i'm never going to be able to pay back -- let me know so i can follow you around and take notes.

it's a dream i'll never be able to fulfill.
i'm back on el jay, you should write more so i can go ha-ha and we can be pretentious together.
i miss you.

Varian Semiconductor Equipment America uses SMARTFILTER software for all of their computers, and as such social networking sites are explicitly banned. Yet, somehow, livejournal operates under their radar, so when I'm not doing my job I can catch up on what my friends were doing in 2004. For this reason, I'm glad you've updated and hope more people do the same. But, internet trends aren't really cyclical, so I don't have high hopes for LJ catching on again.
