In which Ten is proven again to be a heartless bastard

So, not only did RTD steal the idea of The One Doctor, but also Real Time and a bit of the Borg Queen (because he's all over the spectrum in his thievery).

David Morrisey (or however you spell it) was not bad. I enjoyed him much more as the Doctor than as Jackson, though.

And I think everyone knows my general loathing of RTD's obsession with Rose, so I'm not even going to comment on the name Rosita. *eyeroll*

And Mrs. Harrigan or whatever-the-hell-it-was was cool when she was human. But, oh black eyes. how original. *heddesk*

And, then we have the Doctor trying to convince her to leave, only then to turn her human so that she is fully aware of every pule of energy, every bit of terror as she dies. How cruel is that? I'm really quite sickened by it.

Steampunk Cyberman was daft. All I could think of was the stupid steampunk spider from Wild Wild West and it was shite, too.

And what the hell is it with Jackson saying that the Doctor is never thanked? The hell? He's thanked all the time, he just doesn't hang around for the party.

Speaking of which, yeah, London is burning and dozens, maybe even hundreds are dead, but they're going to celebrate with a big dinner anyway. *sigh*

Even with all that crap, I think this is probably the best of the Christmas specials. Probably because there were no brass-playing Santas. I had almost no spoilers for this one, so much of it was a surprise. Didn't make me enjoy it any more, though. I'm not disappointed in it, it was actually a bit better than I was expecting in places. But then my expectations were very low to begin with.
