Just returned from Borders to pick up our number for the book pick-up tonight. They started giving out numbers at 9 AM, we got there a little after 1 PM. We are #313. Oh well. The one last time around went really fast. I think we were around #150 that time and got out of there by 12:30 AM easily ( Read more... )

At this point, if it *doesn't* happen, it'll be lame and I'll be disappointed.

I just hope that it doesn't turn into a slapdash horcrux hunt where Harry and pals fly all over England finding one horcrux per chapter than go off to confront Voldemort when they've found them all. That would be the height of suckitude.

I'll give you both of those, and my bets:
* Neville is the Chosen one, not Harry.
* Neville kacks Voldy, and dies himself.
* Ghost of Dumbledore somewhere in there.

Definitely on the ghost of Dumbledore. Hell, I wouldn't be totally shocked if his death was faked and he shows up in the flesh. Sirius Black will definitely be back from the "dead" and Harry will end up living with him. Maybe they can take turns abusing the Black family house elf.

I would so love it if Neville ends up being the chosen one instead of Harry That's definitely how I would write it anyway. Beth and I were talking about that specific possibility this morning and I was cackling over it when Beth told me she had read an interview with Rowling where she denied that Neville would be the chosen one instead of Harry. Haven't seen the quote myself, but there you have it. Guess she can't really disappoint milions of kids who idolize Harry.
