Jolly old England isn't all that jolly

Welcome back to England, Mandy. Your mother is dead and the friend who said you can stay with her until the funeral so you won't have to go back to live with your hag of sister has decided to run off to Samoa with her boyfriend. And it's raining.

I need a drink. Who's here, anyway?

That's terrible Mandy! I'm sorry that you've had such a bad return.

It really has been! And to top it all off, my hair's going limp from all the rain.

Are you coming to the funeral? Say you'll come. I can't handle Charlotte on my own.

You can blame Warrington for that.

When is it? I'll try to come, I guess.

You guess? Well, if it's going to be such a hardship for you, don't bother.

That's unfortunate about your mother. Why didn't you run off somewhere far away?

Missing the train to Monaco is unfortunate. Being given milk chocolate instead of dark chocolate is unfortunate. Running out of ink when writing an owl is unfortunate.

Having your mother die when you were out of the country is DEVASTATING.
