I do not watch enough movies

List of all the movies I've seen this year and a little review for everyone of them. Nope, this won't get long. I barely watch movies.

500 Days of Summer
I wanted to see it because I've heard wonders about it, but I didn't like it. A boy who fells in love with a girl and behaves like girls usually do when they're in love. And a girl who gets bored of said boy and behaves like boys usually do when they get bored of a girl. It was sad, a bit slow and I didn't find anything special about it.

The animation was awesome, and the characters were too cute for words, but the story was a bit empty and messy and pretended to say a lot but didn't really say anything. So-so.

Alice in Wonderland
LOOOOOOOOVED IT. That's not a surprise. I love everything that Tim Burton does. Loved Johnny, and Helena, and Mia, and basically the entire cast. Loved the twist in the story. Loved the special effects, the colors. One of my favorite movies of the year (I've only seen about 10 movies, but whatever xD)

Avatar
Wow to the special effects and the originality of the story. But it was sad, and a bit apocalyptic. I actually felt ashamed of being human the entire time. It's a great movie but it leaves you with a bittersweet (more bitter than sweet, actually) taste in the mouth.

New Moon
Too much Jacob for my taste. Am I the only one who doesn't find this guy hot? Even my mom said he was hot. And then proceed to say that my hatred for Jacob knows no limits if I didn't like the guy. She knows me well xD But I have to admit this movie is way better than the first one. Did they got a different director? The story is still loyal to the books (thank God for that) but the scenes, the way they're shoot are better than they were in the first movie (which I found really crappy, to be honest). It's funny but when I read the books I hated Jacob a lot, but in this movie I was actually madder at Bella than at Jacob. I don't know why Bella feels the need to invade Jacob's personal space whenever she's going to talk to him. No wonder why the guy thinks Bella is in love with him. I better stop talking about Bella and Jacob, I get too mad (I'm actually dreading to watch Eclipse for that very reason. My heart is gonna be broken again so hard) Anyway, loved every single scene with Edward in it. He looks better, hotter, awesomer (LOL, that sounds like a machine that makes you awesome. I want one of those). I did expect the kisses between them to be... deeper? (that sounds too dirty xD I mean that I was expecting them to kiss more passionately, or something like that, bah, forget I said anything xD) but I won't complain, whenever Bella and Edward got together in a scene I was happy and almost (almost) forgot that there was any Jacob at all. I have mixed feelings about Eclipse. I do want to watch it but at the same time I'm afraid I'm gonna hate it for its Jacobness (yep, I made that up). Anyway, in general, I've really liked this movie. And the Volturis were great! And we got to see Bella sparkling! xD

Iron Man
I'm pretty sure that I would have liked this movie way better if the leading female actress wasn't Gwyneth Paltrow. I would have enjoyed a stronger female character, but maybe that's just me. Anyway, I did like the movie and I'm looking forward to see the second one. Robert Downey Jr. is still great. I didn't know a thing about Iron Man (from comics or stuff like that) so when I saw that the leading character sold weapons I was "WTF? Am I suppose to like this guy? Is he supposed to be my hero?" Then I thought about other heroes, who normally have a dark background before they become superheroes, and that's exactly what happened in this case. He turns into a better man. I loved that. Good movie, better than I expected it to be.

I also watched "Serenity" but I've commented it already on the show list under Firefly.
