A nice night with friends, but only through the lens of food!

Last night's eating

Happy Hour:
one beer (Boddington's)
two Beard Papa cream puffs

Dinner:
Turkish food. We shared. I cannot recall the names of all the dishes, so I'll just say the appetizers consisted of bread, yogurt, cucumber, olive oil, lemon juice, peppers, white beans, eggplant, parsley, a couscous, and stuffed grape leaves (rice, currants, pine nuts). Most of my "main course" came from the entree I ordered, a pide (pastry) stuffed with ground-meat, onion and spices and with an egg cooked on top. I also had a bite of my boyfriend's pide, which was stuffed with sausage and cheese. I drank a Turkish beer, and the 7 of us split four desserts - a rice pudding, two sweet crunchy noodle dishes (one with cheese and rose syrup, yum) and baklava. And I drank water.

Today so far

Breakfast:
-arugula and leaf-lettuce salad with goat cheese, olive oil and balsamic vinegar
-1 cup earl gray tea, milk and sugar
-one cup coffee at the office, cream and sugar
-one banana at the office
