Snowboarding is soooooooooooooooooo much fun! Thought I'd suck. I was wrong! Hey, you people in Colorado -- I know the state's full of meathead jocks, but you gotta give this a try. I didn't do it when I lived there and it was a damn mistake.

That's where Kil and I were for his birthday, courtesy of T&M. We had a blast.

I tried snowboarding once. I enjoyed it, but it was hell on my shins. And I spent half the day with a frozen arse.

Really? It's my thighs that are burning me. I also got wet-butted, but I was working so hard I was very warm, so I didn't care.

Thing that made it better than I understand first times usually are: we were boarding in new powder, with more powder falling. So, no bruises, despite the falls. In fact, after the beginning I wasn't scared of falling at all because a series of spectacular, mini-snow-explosion wipe-outs were painless and fun.

We dug out the car three times! When you can't see out the sliding glass door because the snow is above your eye level, it's time to bake birthday cake, get in the sauna, and play Wii.
