How long has it been since I posted here?

I think it's been over a year since I wrote anything here. I mostly post on Caffeinated goodness and rant about whatever I like...

Well I'll write this on here.

Aside from being scared out of my mind about being on the other side of the world I have stuff back home in Canada I have to deal with as well. Hector isn't in good health and Bethany has ( Read more... )

You guys didn't pre sign the renewed lease? That sucks. James will most likely be offered it where you guys aren't here to physically sign it. You have an uber small apartment? That sucks, all the ones I've seen from friends who have gone over to Korea are rather nice and spacious. Are you able to switch over to a larger one now that you're there?

Yeah... well I'm sure I can have the lease transferred to me if James doesn't want it. If not we'll have to arrange to move somewhere eh.

Yeah....you'd have to wait till the lease was up before you could take it over, since Fundy property is fussy like that. So you'd guys would have to wait like two months to move in again if you wanted.

You're in Korea? when did that happen?
clearly I need to pay more attention to Caffeinated Goodness.

and who's Hector? Did you have a baby sometime in the past year? or is that the friend over there?

I have a friend who went to Korea about a year ago... He hated it (partly because he got stuck with a crappy school and living situation, and partly because teaching really isn't his thing), but I've heard some pretty positive things from other people who took more time and care in choosing their school.

And really... worry about what will happen when you get back. Make sure you put enough in savings to cover the first two months' rent (and at least the first month's utilities and such), and I'm sure you'll do fine.

PS - I just realised that my statement of "worry about what will happen when you get back" could be read a couple ways.
What I meant was .... Don't worry too much about what will happen UNTIL you get back. As long as you do some planning ahead financially (ie. saving for more than just the return flight), I'm sure it'll be fine.
