I wish you could hold me up to your mother as a nice person who is in a healthy relationship with you, but honestly i understand as well as i can about the situation and i'm not upset that you aren't ready to tell her. In 10 years if she still thinks you're single we might have to have a talk, though. ;)

that was a good rendition of the conversation that would happen with your mom, and you have to know that you're not a bad girlfriend because (well, nick said that you weren't in his comment- i meeeese you, mc knick knack) you don't want to tell your mom about your relationship situation yet. not that she will ever be in a place to "hear it", but she's definately not in a place at the moment. she's too busy being other things at the moment.
