My brain tumor has returned. Thank you for all of your prayers and warm wishes throughout these past few days. I have talked to a few of you since my results and you have asked what I need, and right now I just need it to soak in. I wasn't quite prepared for the news that I got. But here it goes.

15 Month Update
Fifteen months post-op and I am facing the possibility that my tumor has returned. My next MRI is in May.
For the past couple of months I have been experiencing pre-surgery symptoms at an alarming rate. This, of course, could mean something else entirely (another good reason for the upcoming MRI), yet those same symptoms that pushed me to find ( Read more... ) -

*Back in May I had an MRI that I thought was covering my brain and my neck. I was told that my scans were clear and I was super happy/excited/etc. about this. Six Month Post-Op Update

This is what life is like six months after the removal of my brain tumor:
* I have a pretty constant noise in my left ear. Heartbeat, I'm sure. It sounds like a low bass noise. Some days I can tune it out. Some days it is louder and I wonder if it will drive me insane one day.

I've survived a little over four months after having major brain surgery. My 37th birthday is this weekend and my life still feels surreal. Here are the positives and negatives of my life right now:
POSITIVES

*I heard back from my doctor's office in regards to my neck MRI. They were not able to determine what is it that they found on my neck MRI (if it is actually scar tissue or not) so I will have to go back for a follow-up MRI in four months instead of the originally planned six months.
