The clock just hit midnight over here. For the final day I managed 1258 words. That puts me at a total of 25,089. Oh fuck YES, I made it! Even after stumbling on the lat few meters, somehow I threw myself over the finishing line
( ... )
This was so much fun! I am SO, SO, SO glad you guys decided to keep it going.
I haven't written the past couple days, and I won't today, so I'm ending the month with 29,336 words, and thousands of miles still to go on my story. Once things get settled down again, after we move and get the other place ready to go on the market, I'm going to either come back to it or I'll start a new (more finite) story (or I'll do both!!!) and get back to writing every day. I forgot how much I missed having a regular writing habit--and a community of fellow writers. *sigh*
I'll pop back in from time to time to see how everyone who's still finishing their Biffno story is doing in April!
I'm not quite halfway done my story. I need way more words LOL. But I am pleased to say just as I closed NaNo with a sex scene, I am doing the same with Biffno LOL! Finally, these two turkeys are doing the horizontal tango.
As for what I think of this year's story. This is my first Biffno, but I did enjoy writing my fic. And yes, I will participate next year. I must add this was much more fun and exciting than NaNo. I think it's because we're all bandfic die-hards and I know quite a few of the participants.
Anyway, I managed 2,144 today for a total of 38,410. I missed 40K, but we can't win 'em all.
A big thank you for hosting this event. You guys did a great job!
I was bad and didn't write a word during the last day :P So the final count remains. Which is ~26235 (it's not 100% accurate 'cause there might be a couple of sidenotes, bur they're just a word or two)
And I still love it!!! And also the whole BIFFNO idea <3 This was my very first time to write anything like this and I'm sure as hell gonna be there next year, too. I'm surprised of how easy the writing was in general and especially, how much fun I had. But he best part of all this was by all means this community. Thanks to all of you, you are just great <3
My story is almost ready, one gap to fill and some stuff to add here and there. Somehow I guess that the editing phase won't be as much fun as the writing itself :P
My stories (three attempts at Biffno) died on me within the first week. And then I got the dreaded Writer's Block for the rest of the month and couldn't write anything. Not exactly the greatest time to get that :(
Either way, I'm confident that I can bounce back next year. I didn't manage to get to 25k words on the first Biffno in 2007 either and still succeeded the next three times. I will be back as usual :)
Though that doesn't mean I wasn't watching all of you who did manage to win post every day. I'm proud of those who won and hopefully next year is better for those who didn't.
