There were some perks to being the only female. She could pretend her clothes weren't from second hand shops because they were new to her. Ron stared up at his sister, mouth agape with surprise. Moments like these he thought that Ginny reminded him an awful lot of his mother.

"Why are you asking me?" His eyes flickered down to her hands, quickly checking to make sure she wasn't armed with her wand. The last thing he wanted was a direct hit from one of her Bat Bogey hexes, "I don't know why anyone would want that thing!"

Harry's eyes caught sight of the blanket. It was a bit ripped, torn in the middle and seemed to have some sort of musty odor attached to it. He shuffled in his seat beside Ron, scratching behind his ears as he looked back at Ginny. It was times like these when he realized that perhaps being an only child wasn't such a bad thing.

When he realized he was beginning to stare, Harry darted his eyes to the plate of treacle tart in front of him and grabbed himself a slice.

When in need, grab something to eat.

Ginny glared between the two boys, wishing Hermione was at least here to back her up. "Mum said you told her I was scared. Now dumb and dumber are following me around shouting Merlin knows what about protecting me, and this dusty blast from the past showed up at the Great Hall!" she ranted, trying not to let a whine escape.

Then she realized what she was doing, and glanced around the commons. Oops...

Ron's eyes cut to Harry's, sending him a silent, "thanks for nothing," before getting to his feet. At full height Ron was more than a head taller than Ginny, but height would give him no tactical advantage if she decided she was mad enough to hex him.

"So, everybody's scared!" he inched cautiously behind Harry's seat. Human buffer. Perfect.

"How was I supposed to know Mum would send your--" Ron had to stifle a laugh, "blanket."
