Sorry vamps

My little feline friend, aged 17, died last Monday after a brief illness. She had a seizure Thursday night and despite doctors and hospitals, she had a series of seizures and on Monday was paralyzed from the middle down. There was no good choice but to euthanize her due to her advanced age and debility. She went very peacefully but I have had a ( Read more... )

I'm so sorry for your loss, especially of your friend of almost two decades. You had her from a kitty? In what way was her personality dog like?

I think their spirits stay with us as long as we need them.

Grieve as long as you wish; she was your friend. What about her will you carry with you?

Be well, dear.

Lyn C

I'm going to go look up Marine Coon cats online and see what they look like.

She would come when called, meet you at the door when you came home, sit up, and comfort you when you were down. She had no bad cat habits and was just a dream pet. Thanks Lyn (Maine not Marine)

Wow! She was perfect and still smelled like a kitty. I love their smell whereas with doggies, I'm not a fan.

I can see how you'd miss her terribly. Wayne's cats are always in the window every day when he gets home, waiting for him.

Sit up, eh? Wonder if vampires ever have pets. I'm sure I should remember, but, don't. Seems like Evangeline did.

Oops. Maine cat.

Found a card yesterday that was all about taking care of you right now. Didn't get it. Found a funny one I liked better. HA!

Post a picture of her, would you or is that too much of a risk?

M Lyn

Oh,Brian I am so sorry. I know so well the grief when one of our furry family members passes. The "ghost" sense of them in their usual places - and the deep sense of loneliness and loss when we realise that it is just a ghost.

Much love to you my friend at this time more than ever.

Your ability to feel such grief is one of the things that makes you the special man you are, but that reflection doesn't make the hurt go away.

Hugs, and many of them

W

PS My beloved Bobbin was buried wrapped in his blankie with his favourite toy tucked in with him.
