For those of you wondering, I can report that C and E are doing well in Oregon, even though her family is driving C insane as usual. The other day her mom managed to run C's cell phone through the washer. Apparently the woman doesn't believe in checking the pockets before she throws a pair of someone else's shorts in the laundry. Damn Italians. I can't believe Zidane was that stupid, though.

My old cell phone got hit with a wave at the beach. It turned on a few times after that, but didn't do anything else, and totally died about a week later. *sigh* I don't hold much hope for C's phone. *lights a candle for it*

I'm glad they're doing okay. The world of blog is feeling pretty dry and boring without her!

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that putting it in the dryer won't help.. ;) I have pretty limited hopes for it. I think there may be a new phone in your near future!

It works! Amazing, isn't it? I think she's called me twice using it after "the accident".

Soccer is a nasty stupid bad game anyay. Tacka vet jag hockey.
I dropped a phone in Östersjön once. Had to dive down to get it, and it was still on and everything. Turned it off, took it home, rinsed it out with distilled water, let it dry and turned it back on and it worked for several more years. Of course, that was in -94 or -95 or so, when cell phones were steam powered.

You know, that story would be even better if someone had called you while you were under water.

Looking forward to the next Ed, btw. He reminds me somewhat of Dude in The Big Lebowski.
