I had to wait years before I had an employer that would cover BCP, and years more before it was considered basic enough to be free preventative care. I'm still taking them at my age, because hey, fuck menopause, I'll go off them when I retire and have time for all those hot flashy things ( ... )

you forgot to most "fuck you ladies!" part of all
They noted "In any event, our decision in these cases is concerned solely with the contraceptive mandate. Our decision should not be understood to hold that an insurance coverage mandate must necessarily fall if it conflicts with an employer’s religious beliefs. Other coverage requirements, such as immunizations, may be supported by different interests"

... so... vaccine shots are cool 'cause them things apply to everyone, but shit thats lady-parts specific? Yeah... noooope!

“What will prevent a man from marrying his dog or a woman marrying her toaster?”

Because a dog or toaster cannot give informed consent.

I was home for July 4th weekend right after posting this. Almost as soon as i got in the house, Mom and Dad are like, "So, do we have to have a talk about your views on Hobby Lobby." and my Dad told me "I don't think you really understand the issues here." They seemed surprised when i rattled off all the specifics of the case and that I knew exactly what was going on. This is one of the things that infuriates me about going home: they treat me like I'm a 12-year-old who doesn't know what he's talking about still.
