I have read some of the comments/concerns that a couple people have left on my lj regarding my announcement that I was running for City Council. To those people, and to anyone else who has concerns similar to those I say this ( Read more... )

washington had a leg up on you...pretty much no one around him knew anything about politics, and he had nothing to be judged against. "i can tie a knot..." that's a good thing to put into you're speech. cause it's completely relavent. take into consideration that fact that if you can't get people who know you to take you seriously, how can you expect people who don't know you to give you a look? realize that you are going to have to spend tons of YOUR PARENTS MONEY simply to campaign and advertise. you never even held a club office, what makes you think you even know what the job you are trying to get entails?

Check out my new site. Template is only temp. until I figure out the whole coding system better. Just a quick note, Jimmy Carter loved this country and humanity in general. But he was one of the worst presidents of our time. My point is that though you may be a great person, it takes knowledge and talent to run any sort of office. If you feel you have the ability go for it man, but remember that thousands of people will suffer the consequences (whether those r positive or negative) of your actions.

but anyway, um.. I dunno. You could try to sell that George Washington story to Vacavillians, but I don't know if they'll buy it. Most of the people who vote are like.. over 40, and they wanna see Vacaville ran by all the old people

George Washington wasn't nessicarily a good person, your reading what the historians put down, and back then they put all the good stuff , so for all we know, George Washington , our first Persident could had been an asshole.

Plus, history and what not gets twisted around and what not.
