Even if you took Naders votes of 392,482 and added it to Kerry's total...Bush would have still won.

im not blaming this election on nader.
ie. if i really had a choice between the 3 candidates, i would have voted for nader, too.

im blaming it on the people that were lacking the sense to see the importance of getting bush out of office.

im also not saying the the popular vote would have been drastically affected- as we all know, the government doesnt think that the citizens of the US are capable of choosing their own president, hence the Electoral College.

but i know that each individual race (the race for the ev's) would have been A LOT closer, had everyone made a vote that could have made a difference.

nonetheless, benson is out of office. thats something to be happy about.

Right and at the same time, voting for Nader is trying to make a difference too.

Depending on your political views, mine is that we need a strong 3rd party, and Nader was the strongest candidate. If he got 4% of the popular vote, then his party next year would have gotten federal funding for the next election. I knew Bush or Kerry would have won, but I wanted a 3rd party to actually be able to stand up in 2008.

ANd unless someone knocks me over with a feather in 2008, I'll be voting 3rd party then too.
