Hmmm....  Where to start...
Friday.  I left work early (go figure), and we took the kids to Explore-a-Shore at the Florida Aquarium (http://www.flaquarium.org/html/l2/l2_explore_explore.html).  They had a BLAST, I had a couple beers, and took a bunch of pictures.  I don't have them up yet, but will soon (www.flickr.com/photos/lanceb).  We went home

any tips on where to find good tutorials? id like to learn to mess with photoshop beyond resizing pics and filters

I don't know about on-line. I started by just screwing around with the different tools... playing with EVERYTHING just to see what it did. Then, I picked up a cheap book @ Barnes & Noble "Using Photoshop CS" or something like that. I think it was $10. I've been reading it a lot lately, and it does pretty good (for now). I've still got a lot to learn, and want to get more proficient with it, so I'll probably be looking for tutorials in the near future as well.

I really stepped up my game both creatively and technically when I was doing my shitty nerdy sigs for the board. I just started playing around with different options, different fonts etc... My friend gave me his old textbook, (its kind of old but it helps) Its called Photoshop for Windows and Macintosh: Visual Quickstart Guide.

Incidentally Lance, your next step is to start doing some animations...the 2nd Animation I did was the "Lance has a giant cock" banner.

Yeah, Dimplez walked me through 1 animated gif a few months ago... I've thought about doing some more of those. I'm just REALLY into my still photography right now. I want to make more/better/cooler photographs that I can print, that would be suitable for framing and such. But... some shots with the boys playing and such would be really cool animated as well... and I think the family would really get a kick out of them.
