Do your best to stick to the diet, but rely more on your blood sugar. Eat a little more of what you are hungry for, enjoy your food, but stick to the right kind of foods. You do need to keep your calories up.

I have trouble keeping to a 2000 calorie diet, so I sympathize. I also stopped testing my ketones right after I started. lol. do your best. your body will let you know how youre doing. Also- every doctor is different and they all have different guidelines. They sent me to one who decided 2000 calories was way too much for me because of my weight and that I've gained way too much already. (I started pregnancy at 180, when I saw him I was 207 and 33 weeks)

What made you stop testing them?

I think I've gained around 20lbs... I'll be 30 weeks on Sunday and they told me I'm ahead of where they want in the gain... so I'm not sure how adding more calories is going to help with this. :-P

i still look at foods out of WW eyes. its crazy the amt of food you are supposed to eat... maybe a low intensity workout would help you not feel so bad about the number of cals?

Well... I do ride my stationary bike on average 3 times a week (sometimes 4) for 45 minutes. The intensity varies depending on the course I choose. I don't really want to ride every day but as the weather gets nicer, we'll probably go for walks a little more often... so that might help!

my doc told me that walking at a brisk pace for an hour burns about 400 cals...

oh and. if you go back on ww after pregnancy and are nursing, they tell you to add 12 points, so technically, youd be right about right, right?

The only part of the diet I followed was the amount of grams per meal for sugars and carbs. They never really put me on a caloritic diet. I based what I ate and when I ate off my numbers. Good luck!

i had the same trouble at first... what i ended up doing was dropping a carb unit and ignoring the fats. absolutely don"t skip any of the meals or snacks, i found out-- that messed with my blood sugar.
