I've just been eating this up every time there was a new part posted. This is an amazing piece of writing, and rivals anything I might buy retail. Thank you for sharing this story with the rest of us. And I just love that I have been to all of the places you took us! (Well, probably not on those exact hillsides on the Olympic Peninsula, but still.)

Yeah, it's nice writing about places you know. For me, I just moved the action a few miles south across the border, but it's similar enough and I've been to Washington wilderness and Tacoma and Seattle enough that it felt okay. Glad it did for you too. There are places in those woods that are scary and dangerous and where you feel that humans don't belong and I hoped that I captured even a little of that.

I'm glad that you ate it up and it left you full. Cheers.

Yes -- Sam is the hero and Dean lays a nightmare to rest.

And Tanya lives!

Thank you -- great story.

Rest up. Happy Holidays -- and please, write more!

Take care.

Thanks much -- I don't have anything in the works at the moment, am just catching my breath (just in time for Christmas) so I can't really say what'll be next out the gate, or when. I tend to do all the research up front, so that may occupy me for a bit. Really glad it hit the spot for you.

Hey, you. Thanks for hanging in there and consistently giving me feedback. Rounding out the OCs is part of the pleasure, quite frankly. And bringing more to the canon characters, too. More later. Cheerio.

Hehehehe. Gotcha

The paragraph in the helicopter, with Dean no longer able to talk -- which was running through the whole thing, when Dean talks and when he doesn't, and when he can't -- I had to talk through with the betas several times. It was all about Sam being able to shoulder the weight, and take on some of what Dean had been struggling with for so long. And that Dean finally trusts Sam to do this, to take over everything, even his voice.

And as for Tanya...well, part of this last chapter was also about Dean forgiving himself, about giving him the capacity to do that. And I saw Tanya being alive as a little reward and as a way to be at peace. Glad it worked for you.

Cheers.

Wow, this was a fabulous story and I love how you maintained the intensity until the very end. I adore BigAngrySam and the way everyone around him just shut up and gave him whatever he asked for, because he's BigAngrySam, dammit, and you don't mess with him. Love how scary the wolf was even while it was dying, and how brave Dean was, and how well Sam took care of him. And I totally didn't see Tanya's return coming, but it was perfect.

OMG, I love BigAngrySam. Just. Love.

I can't believe I actually pulled off Tanya coming back without people either hating it or seeing it coming for, say, five chapters, but I remember what another writer said to me once: don't be afraid of a happy ending. So I wasn't.

Okay, maybe just a little.

Thanks, as always, for the all-kinds-of-awesome comments.

My pleasure to write.
