Re: there's this guy named dean... big_pink December 12 2009, 23:25:26 UTC
I've heard of this Dean character. I may devote an entire post to him , one day.

Let's face it: I can't think objectively when it comes to him, so best to just leave him out of it.

How much do I LOVE hearing this woman swear her way through a scene? Honestly if that was all there was to her, it would be one thing, but underneath it all, there is the perfect, perfectly twisting fucked-up human being that is BEGGING to be loved. Dear GOD, how much do I heart my dear Deb?

Yes, Yes, YES.

I thought it would be hard, picking one from West Wing, but when I really, really thought about it? Not so hard. Josh owned it, but for me, especially when he decided he was backing Santos? Yeah. He could have come over to my place and taken my last beer from the fridge and I would have forgiven the bastard. By then, he owned ME.

And as for Tami? 'Nuff said.

I just enjoyed seeing your post and then reading your views on why and such. Loved Deadwood too (and Seth/Tim especially), and absolutely love seeing so many of them strolling though some other shows lately.

Totally agree with Tami on FNL, and Edie Falco in just anything, I LOVE Debra Morgan she slays me with her tears and the way she foul mouths her way through everything and yet manages to be so damn vulnerable. BUT, what about Dexter/Michael, I think he is an amazing character and one hell of an actor and for the life of me can't understand why people don't throw awards at him.

Finally, have you checked out Sons of Anarchy because I am crazy in love with that show for like at least 1,000 reasons, starting with Charlie Hunnam, Katy Segal and Ron Perlman. By the way, Charlie Utter found his way there and is doing an awesome job as Sheriff Unser.

Wonderful to see you out there.

It was so damn hard, trying to get it down to ten. I hafta say. I would have included the ENTIRE cast of Deadwood, given half the chance. I love, love love Michael C. Hall on Dexter, he's exceptionally good, but I gave it to Deb because, well. Whenever she comes on screen, I pay attention. I care about what she does. Whether it's the Ice truck killer, or Anton or Agent Lundy, every move Deb makes is true. Luv the woman.

I MUST check out Sons of Anarchy. I have a bad, terrible thing for Charlie Hunnam. I will make time. Thanks for the rec. And Charlie Utter? Oh YEAH, baby.

Tami Taylor is luv! I don't know if I could ever separate her from Coach. They'd have to share a spot. Honorable mention to Tyra. Her college letter? *weepss*

Joan! Yes! Her character snuck up on me similarly to Tyra on FNL. They both started as typical simple eye candy, but boy was I wrong in my initial judgment of them. They both stole my heart and soul. Joanie is totally gonna rock the new firm.

Don Draper is the most complex character on TV. He and Dean need to have a drink together.

The Wire!
When Bubbles came up from his sister's basement, tried the door to finally find it unlocked, I bawled my eyes out.
You weren't alone.
Omar, as Michael K. Williams played him, is utterly despicable, but he has a code and he lives by it. How ironic was Omar's death? That kid is probably *still* bragging about taking out Omar ( ... )

I think I will have to make a list that is Top Ten Ensemble Casts, because separating Tami from Eric hardly seems fair, does it? I do also love Tyra a whole bunch, and it's a hard call not singling out our man Taylor Kitsch for his exceptional, exceptional work as Tim Riggins. I draw the line, though, at characters like Tim and Dean (in SPN) because I have an investment in them that really muddles the cognitive ( ... )

I remember seeing him interviewed and suddenly, out of nowhere, GETTING why he was so damn sexy. I looked at the whole show (Deadwood) differently after that. Great stuff.

Ooooh! What did he say? *iz curious*

It was awhile ago, some Canadian talk show. I'd never seen him out of character before and he was absolutely breathtaking. He talked a lot about his wife, if I remember. He was so damn sexy.
