What do you want to do?

An easy question to ask, but really a rather insulting question at the same time to someone looking for a job. I haven’t been able to find anything since January but I still get asked this. Tough love time. A job is a job at this point. A good amount of employers won't give your application a look over if the see that you're unemployed. Stupid, but true. If I had a family with a child I'd be flipping burgers night and day especially if utilities were in danger of being shut off. It's noble to want to be with your child, but not practical if it's not providing for them.
I was a latch-key kid at an obscenely young age because Mom worked her butt off to keep the lights on and a roof overhead. She was awesome and I turned out just fine.
Stop searching for the Holy Grail and do what needs done. You need money while looking for something more to your tastes.
