I totally understand. I just started a new job after more than 6 months of looking.

And I feel lucky to have found this place. Not only is there a stigma against the unemployed by potential employers, but with unemployment so high, there are 100 or more applicants for every position (my last job I was involved in hiring - and it's difficult to hire when you're flooded with resumes and you have to narrow it down fairly and in such a way that you don't miss anyone with potential.)

Sure there might be a 1% of lazy sods out there, but theres 8-9% (i.e. millions) of people out there honestly looking and making no/little headway... it's frustrating and honestly quite depressing. :(

Best of luck to you.
