Sometimes, when I back up files by e-mailing them to myself as attachments, I write myself letters.

I did this again today when I was sending myself a Final Cut project file of a montage I'm editing of migrant workers picking tomatoes

Great that you have self-esteem, but I never write letters to myself when send myself attachments. I get annoyed because it says "Send this message without a subject?" "Send this message without body text?" rawr.

I usually write myself messages more as a way to keep track of what I'm sending myself.

And because I feel like telling myself how cool I am. It's good to take the opportunity to do that. It feels nice when somebody tells you how awesome you are, and it also feels good to pay people compliments too, so I can kill two birds with one stone.

You should write yourself e-mails, Anna. It's a win-win situation.
