why does everyone have to post things so oddly down and depressing?

i look across LiveJournal at different people, friends of mine, friends of others, bystanders posting comments.... and everyone has a problem that they want to cut their arms up to?

how teenage and pathetic? everyone has problems, but why are your own always worse than others? does
