In terms of undergraduate education, I think Swarthmore is better. Chicago’s major strength is that with its graduate and law schools, I could take way advanced classes as an undergraduate-but I could do that at Swarthmore too with just a twenty minute train ride to the University of Pennsylvania. Swarthmore is, if possible, more intense and rigorous than Chicago academically, and the professors are way more accessible and not that far behind in prestige. At Swarthmore, getting a summer job doing research with a professor is not at all uncommon and the departments (which are very well connected) provide a lot of support in terms of jobs and internships to their majors

I was so in love with UChicago and it was my first choice school and it makes me sad that you've turned it down. Too bad my application was shitty. Or actually not, because I probably couldn't have handled it. I'm rambling. Sigh, Chicago.
Chicago is an awsome place, no doubt. I felt a twinge of sadness checking the box turning down their offer of admission, but I think I've made the right choice.
You (or I for that matter) could always go to Chicago for graduate school. There are always opportunities to go there if you want to take them.
Rad. Congrats on your decision man, I know how hard it can be. Try to look up a dude named Twan Claiborne while you're there. He's big and black, and you'll know when you've found him.
