Good news
Well it has been an interesting but rewarding day.
Well I went for my 2nd interview at Best Western Midway. This one was not so good. I got the impression he was trying to get me to say I didn't want it so he wouldn't have to turn me down. The job would only be part time so in a way he was right. But I was told I would hear back from them soon on their decision. From there I decided to go check out status on some of my other applications. Started with Tundra Lodge and was told the right people have it and I should be getting a call. Howard Johnson told me positions have been filled. So I went to go try the Ramada Plaza Hotel. After waiting for 15-20 min so the counter was free of cust, I went and asked the woman what was going on. She said my app was on her desk if I could wait a minute or 2 more she would discuss it with me. About five min later she came out and we went into the lobby by the resturuant to talk. She basically told me she loved my resume and even thinks I am taking a job below my qaulifications and gave me the new hire paperwork and told me I start on Thursday night. I will be working as the night audito from 11 pm to 7 am. Not sure what that all intails, but I will find out Thursday night.
On another thing of good news. Heidi has given me her phone # so we can chat for real some time. Sh wanted to meet in person, but her schedule is busy for longer than she wanted to wait to talk to me. So I figured I would give it a little time and call her tomorrow night. Don't want to seam to eager right?
