Handle ya business

Stevenson held a Club Leaders retreat this past weekend and this morning I'm still recovering. There have been some changes between this coming semester and last in relation to campus clubs as well as the budget so they wanted to give us that information as well as give us a chance to do some teambuilding activities, which actually weren't too bad.

Oh wow, you guys have a cosplay club! That's awesome. We have too many clubs at UMBC, it would be impossible to have a retreat with all the officers, and who would go for the non hierarchical clubs? Did you have to pay for the retreat or did the school?

Good luck! New clubs are always exciting.

I've heard about UMBC and it's nine million clubs. I wonder how your Student Activities folks keep track of all of that? You have clubs without at hierarchy? It's required in order to be a recognized club at my school so the that concept is a little foreign to me. Fortunately, we didn't have to pay. I think they paid off any expenses from the student fee we pay with our tuition.

Thanks. We're going to need it. I'm really excited, which is making nervous. Whenever I get excited about something, especially if it's something I have some sort of leadership in it goes down faster than Murphy Homes. I just really hope that we can find members who will be just as excited and passionate about it as we are.
