Some of you may know that i went to the Bittermoon Tea House Player Event a few weeks ago, some of you may even know that they had painting classes there.

What a lot of you wont know is that i realy enjoyed this, so went out and bought cheap paint, canvas and brushes and though i'd have a go.

The results of the IC session can be seen below.

Comming out of this, i've started my first propper picture (the picture above can easily be said to be my characters, not mine)

I'm finding painting in stages realy helps the image form.

Stage 1

Stage 2

I'm hoping to start work on stage 3 tomorrow but i thought i'd share some thoughts on the process so far.

1.  i need to propperly prime the canvas.   the liquid (water) i'm using to thin the paint is being absorbed incredibly quickly
2.  I'm using the acrylics a lot like watercolours.  may be an idea to look at using water colours instead
3.  Cheap brushes are cheap and will leave brissels all over the painting.  if i intend to do this as a hobby i'm going to have to look at better brushes
4. my goodness doesnt the acrylic paint dry quickly on the palett but take forever to dry on the canvas
