Summary: JiYong had been happy… So what happened?
The boy woke up and brought a hand to his eyes, or he tried to. He squirmed, realizing his arms were tied. JiYong looked around and took a breath, only to get a constricting pain in his chest.
Umma-sshi came in, a frown on her face.
The boy looked at her pleadingly.
“I’m not mad, don’t worry.” She told him softly.
He was amazed as her ability to remain calm in any situation.
“Do you know why you were put in a straight jacket?” She asked him seriously.
He tried to sit up and she pushed him down gently, shaking her head as if to tell him not to use too much energy.
“It’s close to Halloween?” He asked, trying her patience, it was only the beginning of April.
Her frown edged up slightly but she shook her head. “You took a light bulb and used it to cut yourself. We’re worried about you, JiYong. On top of that, this is the second time you’ve tried to kill yourself through cutting.” She told him, her voice showing her worry for the boy.
“The first time was an accident.” JiYong replied honestly.
“But it happened nonetheless. We can’t trust you with anything that has the potential to be sharp. We think it is for the best if you continue your therapy with that.” She pointed to the straight-jacket. She obviously did not agree with the treatment.
“Just in case, we’ve assigned a 24-hour guard to you.” A man walked in, looking to be in his mid-twenties.
JiYong didn’t like his smirk, but he looked up at the man with innocent eyes. He looked back to Umma-sshi. “24 hours… won’t he get any sleep?” He asked.
Umma-sshi smiled and nodded, “Of course, when you’re sleeping, silly.” She told him.
He nodded.
“And of course, I’ll be here as well. I patrol both this area and the regular area, so you’ll be seeing me around as well.” She told the young boy, ruffling his hair before getting up and bidding her goodbyes.
JiYong wondered if she was like this to all her patients, or just him. Either way, he really liked the lady.
“Hey mister guard?”
“Call me Nurse Jang.” The man ordered him.
“Jang-sshi?”
“What?”
“What if my nose itches? Or I have to go to the bathroom?” JiYong tilted his head to get a better look at the guard. “Do I have to wear this when I take a shower?”
“Shut up.” The man growled.
JiYong pursed his lips, biting on the lower one. I don’t like this guard, he’s not nice. He thought, letting out a small whine.
When YoungBae had gotten a call telling him what happened to his friend, he had his manager call his school and tell them he was sick that day. He lay on his bed, wondering what the hell possessed his friend. He wanted to visit, but now he was more scared. He closed his eyes and put an arm over his face. If he went to visit, what would he see? Last time he went, JiYong had a slightly… insane look to him. Being in the institution, being in their uniform gray sweats and simple t-shirt (JiYong had always been given short sleeve shirts so he couldn’t hide anything); being trapped in a room about the size of their smallest bedroom… it scared him. It probably scares JiYong too… He thought, cursing himself. He felt almost selfish. He avoided the place while his friend was stuck there.
JiYong was uncomfortable with the situation. He stood in a make-shift “waterproof” straight jacket; an arm binding contraption that itched when he moved his arms. The guard stared at the boy’s naked body. “Get in the tub.”
“I can’t do this on my own? Seriously?” He asked the guard, squirming.
“Soap can be turned into a shank.” He told the boy. “I’ve been instructed to bathe you as part of your daily routine.”
JiYong knew the guard didn’t need to spend as much time as he did washing and drying the boy’s lower regions.
JiYong squirmed in his bed, not able to shake the uneasy feeling of the events in the shower. He had seen the scar he made in his chest though. He smiled; it would be an interesting one if it healed weird. He let out a small laugh, until the guard came up to him.
“Medicine time,” He growled to the boy.
“Can’t I know what I’m being fed?” the boy asked quizzically.
“Anti-depressants, sleeping meds.” The guard replied simply. He pointed to the food. “I don’t know what this is.”
“So you can be funny.”
A crisp smack was heard, but it didn’t seem to leave the room. No one came in to see what the sound was.
When YoungBae got up the nerve to visit his friend, he didn’t like what he saw. He shoved his hands into his pockets, trying to get them to cease their shaking. “J-JiYong?” He called to the younger boy. The other boy twitched and moved his head slightly before returning his gaze to the wall. YoungBae’s heart ached for his friend. Was this really helping him? YoungBae sat down on a chair, the only other furniture in the room besides the bed and a tray table, probably used to put food on. “JiYong… Uh… JaeMi misses you. She said she was really worried when I told her what happened.” YoungBae sighed, steadying his voice. He pulled a necklace out his pocket; JaeMi had told him to give it to her boyfriend. “She gave you something.”
JiYong finally turned around, eying the necklace. “What is that?” He asked, looking at the soft golden heart. It was more of a round imperfect circle. He let a small smile appear on his face. She knew it wouldn’t get past anything if the edge was pointed. “Can you put it on? My arms are kinda tied up.” He joked.
YoungBae smiled, finally feeling relaxed. “Sure.”
When JiYong was pinned to the shower wall, he felt his body shiver. The guard pressed his lips harshly against the smaller boy, and JiYong turned away.
“Leave me alone!” He yelled, trying to squirm away. If only his arms weren’t tied.
The guard growled, hitting the boy in the chest, in his weak spot.
JiYong choked and coughed.
“Shut up. You scream and I’ll play so it will look like your fault. I swear to god.” The guard growled. He moved his hand to JiYong’s lower regions and the boy shivered again, swinging his legs wildly.
“Leave me alone!” the young man growled again.
The guard stayed against the far wall until JiYong had calmed his legs. He pushed the boy’s head against the back wall roughly. He pressed his lips to the younger man’s so he couldn’t cry out, his hand rubbing JiYong harshly.
JiYong felt dizzy from being pushed, and pain in places he shouldn’t have. He wiggled again, distracting the guard.
The guard growled and grabbed onto the younger boy’s legs, pulling them around him. He pushed himself into the younger boy, covering his mouth with his hand as the boy screamed.
