It just meant that signing up is in no way binding. If you can't make the goal, you're still welcome in the community, to cheer on others, and to enjoy the final results.

Oh, no, you can do whatever your heart desires! I'm doing a prompt I got on a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT COMMUNITY I am so awesome.
