Question! Is the version we send in tomorrow going to actually be posted anywhere? Like, are you going to post the Title/Author/Pairing/etc. list to this comm, and then artists read the list and say which one they'd like to do, and then they get that story sent to them immediately? Or, will the artists say which they want to do, and then get the final draft sent to them when it's done? Or, are the rough drafts going to be posted here and linked to with the Title/Author/Pairing/etc. data listed with them, and then replaced by the final draft when it's done?
Basically, how exactly is everything gonna be posted and/or not posted when we email in the story and the form tomorrow, when do the artists do their thing, how much do they see before they do their thing, who (just the artists, just the mods, the entire Internet, etc.) is going to be seeing which drafts and how and when... etc.
Just not sure what's going up when. And I kinda need to know before I can decide how much I need to panic about cleaning up incoherent scenes by tomorrow.
okay, so what's going down is that there'll be a post of title/pairing/summary/list, without the names of the authors so as to preserve the anonymous thing. and then artists will post in the entry telling me which stories they'd like to try (comments will be screened), and then i'll just hook you guys up with contact info through email. at which point you'll personally send your story directly to your artist.
i simply want to stories to make sure you've got your wordcount and html down. and also to read some of it. 8)
So my story is now over 50k and, as of 8:17 PM my time, is not yet done. (Although the end is in sight. And by "in sight" I mean "kinda visible from a very high vantage point with a very big telescope.") So I have not-much-time-at-all to finish. Given that, and assuming I don't find a magic program that automatically does HTML tags, would it be all right if I sent you a non-HTMLed version of the story for now, and then sent you a version with proper tags and all sometime before the final draft deadline? It sounds like the HTML version won't even be necessary until then, since that's when it'll all be posted...?
Also, how much HTML do you need done? Just do it LJ style, with the italic/bold/underline tags and horizontal rule tags and whatnot; or do you need the paragraph tags, too?

okay, tbh this is just a checkpoint for me, and collection time for the artists. since you're well over 50000, i don't even see a point of making you stress out over finishing. and i don't need the html that bad as of now, just wanted to make sure everyone knew what they were doing, check if dreamwidth supported it well or not (psst http://narutobang-fic.dreamwidth.org psssst) Why can't you just switch to Jounin D8

addendum: because I just got hired to work for moneys and will probably not get to my laptop till it's like... dark and shit, and I live in California on top of that, so...
