Star Trek: The Motion Picture: Not as bad as I remembered, but I can see why I fell asleep in the theater in 1979. Dull, extremely poorly paced, and suffers horribly from ( Read more... )

"When Worf explains there are already Klingons there, the others look around confused and then look to him for an explanation, and he says: "It was a long time ago, and we do not discuss it with outsiders!"

Most folks hate Enterprise, but, it was in that show's fourth & final season where we find out just why the Klingons of the Kirk - era looked so much different from the Worf - era Klingons.

I agree about Scotty.. liked him more and more when
he put on some weight.

He was a HOT man.. and, a very nice man, from what I have read & heard about him. I wish I could have met and talked with him.. just once.

I tried to post the entire article here, but it's too long - you'll have to go here:

Much as there isn't character interaction in TMP, I think there are important character moments. Kirk realizes he's getting old in a more subtle way than in TWoK, while Spock experiences what I consider his most important revelation of all: " And yet with all its pure logic, V'ger is barren. Cold. No mystery, no beauty. This simple feeling is beyond V'ger's comprehension."

Compared to the "simple feeling" scene, I find his dying moment in TWoK over-the-top.

I agree with what you said about Roddenberry. Ok, he was the creator, but a terrible writer indeed.
I also agree with what you say about the first two movies. alright, the second was a cheap production, but it's enjoyable nonetheless.
hmmm, the mature Scotty is so damn sexy!!!

I am looking forward for your next reviews, I am sure there's gonna be something I won't agree with. :-)
