Star Trek Revisited Part III

Decided to re-watch the Star Trek films in order. It's been some time since I've seen them, and I never did watch the last two Next Gen films. Here's a few quick thoughts:

I laughed out loud at the scene where they're forced to used those dumbass rocket boots to go up that big shaft (lols) and the deck numbers. 78 decks? Really? And they pass deck 52 twice. EL OH EL.

I don't know...I liked this film despite it's subpar moments. I enjoyed the camaraderie between the big three, and yes, those scenes with Sybok trying to get them onside are quite moving. Kirk's speech of "Should I have turned left instead of right? I want my pain, I need my pain!" has become a mantra of sorts for me when the shit's in the fire.
Yes, we could have done without the striptease.And the Scotty/Uhura thing is just plain creepy.
It's a good film for a lark, and I enjoyed it far more than Generations (though that bitch left me weeping like a baby when Kirk dies...).
