Good point about willpower not curing any other diseases.
I'll argue the bit about addiction not affecting brain chemistry though. People get conditioned by way of addiction to get happy from the object of their addiction. Thus, using/obtaining the object of addiction triggers the release of endorphins etc. Hence, addiction. Likewise, lack of said object of addiction often causes stress hormones to be released in response to "the missing factor."
That is a good point. I was referring more to the chemical imbalance like the kind that they prescribe prozac and other depression drugs for, but then again... your argument still works.
I think I'm just trying to start debates though. Not many people I know around here can hold up a good debate, or add much intelectual berring. Thats why I post it all on LJ and myspace.
