Yep, at it again, bloating up. This time I tried to see if I could burst out of a really tight shirt. Pictures and results under the LJ Cut.
Once again used Mentos and diet coke to this time see if I could burst out of a shirt. I brought a size small shirt to see if I could get my belly big enough to destroy it. Also wearing Speedos to keep a certain female member happy ;)
Finally a before shot. Shock horror. Side on to see what isn't happening
Front on before shot. Yes, got a little bit of a belly there, I blame it on the winter conditions in my home town :)
First shot after having two Mentos and a gulp of diet coke. As you can see, it does cause the belly to swell a little
2 Mentos front shot. Shirt is getting taut, but no where near breaking point
8 Mentos (over time, not all at once :) ) side shot. Belly starting to get rounder, surprisingly the shirt still staying together.
8 Mentos front shot. Shirt still holding together, cradling it at the moment :)
Sitting down after 10 or 11 mentos. Shirt under some strain there, but still holding together, dammit :(
Skipping ahead to the last shots. Two packets of Mentos, three cans of diet coke and some gulps of soda water, and you can see the belly is bigger, but that damned shirt is still there
Front shot. Belly is big, shirt is riding up, but no popped buttons.
Sitting down all full. Was hoping the shirt would blow out now, but the thing kept its strength and stayed together.
So the results was the shirt was able to stand the strength of the belly (and surprisingly the belly swelled out a little more after I unbuttoned the shirt, but the camera battery was flat by then).
I can only guess due to the lack of weight in the belly, since it was mainly gas, that the shirt was able to stay together. If there was more weight, as if I bloated with liquids or stuffed with food, the shirt would've burst with the weight of the belly forcing it apart, as well as the belly's size.
Next time I'll get a snap button shirt and try it with the mentos and diet coke. They come apart easier and means I wont have buttons sprayed all over the place.
