OOC: Secret Santa

Merry Christmas Hammie! This wasn't exactly what you asked for, but I know your love of Belle, like of Disney and sense of humour about the whole thing would appreciate this.

The Modern Day Disney Princess Mix

Disney is well-known for its musical numbers in its animated films, as well as its Disney Princess line. But with times changing, the princesses need to keep up with the latest and not-so-greatest in music. What if the princesses had to have new 'theme songs' in the modern non-animated world?

Snow White: Rick James - Super Freak
She's a very kinky girl - the kind you don't take home to mother.
Well, she does live with seven very short men in a very small space with no apparent room for her other than in their beds.

Cinderella: C&C Music Factory - Everybody Dance Now
Everybody dance now!
Sure, there's the part with the fairy godmother and the slippers and evil stepsisters, but the part everyone remembers about ol' Cindy's story is the dance. Without it, there's no story.

Aurora (Sleeping Beauty): The Ramones - I Wanna Be Sedated
Nothin' to do and no where to go-o-oh I wanna be sedated.
After being holed up with three old ladies for all her life, Aurora (aka Sleeping Beauty) was seriously asking to have a really long nap.

Ariel: Placebo - My Sweet Prince
So before I end my day remember, my sweet prince, you are the one.
*cough*STALKER*cough* And you just know that happily ever after never really happens. Ariel is way too clingy and Eric is a floozy.

Belle: No Doubt - Just a Girl
Guess I'm some kind of freak 'cause they all sit and stare with their eyes. I'm just a girl, take a good look at me, just your typical prototype.
She's far from the typical prototype and Belle's the kind of well-read gal who's capable of using a bit of irony from time to time.

Jasmine: David Hasselhoff - Looking for Freedom
I've been lookin' for freedom. I've been lookin' so long I've been lookin' for freedom. Still the search goes on.
She left looking for freedom and found herself a boyfriend who became trapped with her (three movies later) rather than being set free. Also? Jasmine totally only ran just down the street to get away from home. Not so smart.

Pocahontas: Joan Jett - Bad Reputation
I don't give a damn about my bad reputation!
Oooh Pocahontas, you such a rebel.

Mulan: DVDA - Now You're a Man
Now you're a man! Man! A manny manny man.
Disney gives good crossdressing. It's really the chorus that does it for this song, but also the inclusion of the word 'titties' amuses me because I can imagine the look on Mulan's face if you said that word to her.

Alice: Escape Key - The Girl That's Never Been
Now it's all the life I knew, except I know it can't be true. I'm not her - there's no such thing as Wonderland.
Okay, okay. She's not really a Disney princess, but she was in Kingdom Hearts and she's being included in the line sometimes now. This is more of a 'after Alice grew up' song and is based on this story.

Megara: Pink - Stupid Girls
Baby if I act like that, flipping my blonde hair back, push up my bra like that, I don't wanna be a stupid girl.
Also not a Disney princess, but too awesome to not include. She's so badass and aloof and yet? She can't help but question whether she should be the classic D.I.D. to get Wonderboy to call back. Then she quickly comes to her senses and didn't really consider it at all. Really. Good girl.
