We've been in the new apartment 48 hours, and we've already seen two roaches.

One small one with long legs, and one big one, about 2 inches long.

If there are two, there are more.

Get someone in there, they might be coming from some other apartment but your apartment needs to be treated. Watch Fumicators on Discovery on Monday nights, they will show you the right way to get rid of roaches.

Move the stove and fridge and see if you see any signs of more population.

The two inch long one sounds like a palmetto bug. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_cockroach

Everyone had those in the south, they come in for water and air conditioning.

I have learned not to be getting dinner when it is on. The rats creep me out more than the roaches.

I have learned to recognize roach shit.
