It'd been a good day. Of course, "a good day" was defined as Annja having managed to refrain from killing Garin or punching Bryce.

Annja was laying across the couch with her head in Sean's lap. She was holding her own glass of vodka.

"I didn't kill anyone," she said proudly. "I didn't hit Garin or get into a loud verbal discussion with Roux. I did awesomely."

"Do we know where Garin's sleeping, anyway? Did you remember to get him reservations at the hotel?" Sean asked, looking down at Annja.

Somehow, if the answer was no, he wouldn't be sad.

"And you?" He pointed at his sister with the hand that held a beer bottle. "Can stop thinking he's cool, thank you."
