livekatie invited people to send her haikus. Hehe, I remember writing haikus sometime during my K-12 career. So, here's mine. If you want to share one, just drop a comment. A haiku is three lines, the first and last are 5 syllables, the second line is 7 syllables.

Bush wants a war now
We must resist such a war
By any means proper

And I see that you are in Vancouver... I try to go to Victoria BC as often as I can but with the bad economy and all, I was not able to make the trip last year, and it looks like this year will be a no-go as well. :(

you should try going to Vancouver instead of Victoria. I mean Victoria is beautiful, dont get me wrong .. in fact I have to get my ass over there again one day soon - havent been in ages ... but Vancouver it isnt :)

Is the economy really that bad? I guess we havent felt it as much here. Hope it gets better for you guys down there and try to hang onto the thought that your money is worth over one and a half times ours!!! Grrrr, that makes me mad! I'm so damn old I remember when we used to travel down south to shop! Not anymore!

Yeah, it's pretty bad down here... We've had 30,000+ jobs gone from Boeing, the dot-com crash... Glad that y'all are being spared somewhat, but probably tourism to BC from here has gone way down. Bear in mine, we in the states don't have things like universal health care and a shredded safety net.

The exchange rate is still damn good, it's about $1.52 CN to the US dollar right now.

If I do manage to go to Victoria this year, you wanna meet up? ;-)
