I think so. I think it is both honesty with one's self and a choice. We choose where we want or don't want to be. If we can find peace in a place (emotional or physical place) then we can choose to be happy. If we cannot find that peace, then we maybe need to look for another place (emotional or physical place.)

At least I dont think so. I think that there are always going to be things that impact our lives, that are totally our of our control, so that you cannot achieve "true happiness".
I think that there are different levels of happiness.
But I think chasing after "true happiness" is......setting yourself up for dissapointment.
The important question that I always ask myself is....am I happy enough??
You see....if your happy days out number your not so happy days - then great - but if it is the oppostite way around.....then you need to do something to change your life.
After all - if you are not happy.....why keep doing the things that are keeping you unhappy????
is there such thing as false happiness? that is what i would say. if i were to believe that there was anything that would be called "true" happiness, it would be the happiness that comes from within rather than from an external source. it is when you connect with God inside of yourself and you feel completely joyful and elated. but there is true happiness in everything, i believe. watch the movie 'the secret'.
