In Defense of Affirmative Action

In the past I wasn't a fan of affirmative action. Primarily because of my sense of loss that accompanied the idea that I could not be selected for a job or position solely on the basis of me not being female or a minority

I keep hearing all this hype about her being Latino. It's funny (read actually kinda sad) that when Bush was appointing minorities to high positions nobody really said much about it. It's like it only counts when a liberal does it....

Bush didn't appoint anyone who was a minority to the supreme court. He had two opportunities and appointed white guys
