well....Mr. Jeter said it best when he said that they weren't necessarily the better team; we just cooled off at the wrong point in time. hopefully the boss can keep his head cool enough after this to make the right moves and not too many drastic ones. this is still a team that won 101 games, 61 come-from-behind, and was on the verge of a damn ( Read more... )

What's there to think about? The Yankees will sign Beltran and Pavano, eat Giambi's salary, see their payroll rise to $250 million, raise ticket prices, draw three million, win their division easily and take their chances that they don't run into some hot pitcher in the 2005 playoffs. Baseball's fixed, economically, at least, and you might as well go to sleep for a year.

yes, it is good to be the Yankees, indeed. good luck on not being contracted. i think as soon as Selig leaves, the Brewers are as good as gone.

and i also want to see "Mr.3000"

as far as the economic fix, i agree that some improvements need to be made, but it's hard to not have a great team and the biggest payroll in baseball when you're drawing record numbers at the gate like that every year. shoot, i couldn't even get to a game this season!
